Cecil A. Danzeisen, 85, of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Born January 21, 1932, in Ida Twp., MI, he was the son of Albert and Cecile (Lutz) Danzeisen. A 1949 graduate of Bedford High School, he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Cecil married Frances Devine on October 27, 1956 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, where he was a lifelong member. He was employed for 41 years for CSX Railroad, retiring as Assistant Manager of Data. Cecil spent winters in Bentsen Grove, Texas, where he enjoyed shuffle board and dartball.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances; daughter, Marjorie (Lee) Kern and 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Cecil was preceded in death by his son, Ivan and 2 brothers, James and Lloyd Danzeisen.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Sunday, March 19, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 9144 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice. www.pawlakfuneralhome,com
